The International PhD Programme „Literary and Cultural Studies“ at Justus Liebig University, Giessen offers a clearly structured and research-oriented three-year doctoral programme of high academic standard which aims at improving the academic quality of the PhD, while at the same time reducing the time needed to obtain the degree. The IPP allows graduate students to acquire additional academic and practice-oriented qualifications in a wide range of courses designed specifically for PhD candidates besides working on their PhD projects. Further, the IPP offers intensive tutoring during the entire period of graduate studies and individual counselling. The counselling includes help with applications for scholarships.
